Dampened blades with SL 100 and Coromant Capto^®

Oval serration blade system for best stability and accessibility. The 100 mm (3.936 inch) high blade allows for best coolant delivery to assist in chip removal.

For blades longer than 4x width of the blade a patented dampening device is part of the design. This allows depth of cut to be 4 times greater than without dampening.

Clamping units

Adapted clamping units for vertical turning lathes with either manual quick change or automatic tool change.

With the coolant piped through the ram directly to the spindle there are no coolant pressure restrictions (the case with turret lathes and rotating spindles).

Optimized programming and optimized tools give optimized results

By choosing trochoidal turning for the roughing operation over the more traditional ramping method, productivity can be doubled with improved security and tool life.

Drilling (up to 5 x D)

Just by exchanging a conventional drill with a CoroDrill® 880, you can double the number of drilled holes in the same amount of time. Its step technology gives outstanding cutting force balance, providing significant improvements in productivity as well as hole quality.

Chamfering of holes

CoroMill® 327 known as an excellent thread millig cutter, can also be used for chamfering/back-chamfering of holes, by choosing the dedicated insert.
