Slewing ring

The slewing ring connects the tower to the nacelle, making it rotate to utilize the direction and speed of the wind. Three smaller slewing rings connect the turbine blades with the hub to adjust the pitch angle of the blades for maximum yield.

3. Drilling

By simply replacing a conventional drill with a CoroDrill® 880, you can double the number of drilled holes in the same amount of time.

Its step technology offers outstanding cutting force balance, providing significant improvements in productivity as well as hole quality. This, in combination with high performance grades, makes it outstanding when it comes to rapid hole making.

4. Ball track machining - Roughing

To rough out the grooves, round RCMT inserts in CoroTurn® 107 are the choice to use for perfect chip breaking and high productivity.

4. Ball track machining - Finishing

The hardened grooves can be finish machined with round ceramic inserts, RCGX grades CC650 for continuous cuts and CC675 in interrupted cuts. Both grades can replace expensive grinding operations.

4. Seal groove machining

GC1125 not only runs faster and longer, it is the universal grade for all grooving and profiling operations. Improved grade technology offers a new level of machining performance , as a wider geometry range combines with the benefits of the number one profiling and grooving system, CoroCut® 1-2 edge.
