CoroTap® 400

CoroTap 400 est un taraud par déformation à grande vitesse qui ne produit pas de copeaux pour le filetage de trous borgnes ou débouchants dans les aciers, les aciers inoxydables, l'aluminium et les superalliages réfractaires. Il existe des tarauds polyvalents et des tarauds optimisés avec ou sans gorges de lubrification avec un choix de diamètres, nuances, revêtements et profils de filets répondant aux besoins de nombreuses applications.

The hole

For basic hole size calculations, use the appropriate formulas for forming taps.

D = Hole diameter (mm, inch)
TD = Nominal thread diameter (mm, inch)
TP = Thread pitch (mm, inch)

  • Drill size for M10x1.5 forming tap = 9.25mm (9.25=10-(1.5/2))

When the hole is analyzed, have a look at the workpiece material, component shape and quantity.

  • Machinability?
  • Material hardness?
  • Alloy elements?

Cutting fluid/emulsion

There are several options for cutting fluids, depending on the application:
  • Mineral oil based
  • Synthetic coolant
  • Semi synthetic cutting fluid
  • Vegetable oil based
  • Straight oil

It is important to always be aware of the type of cutting fluid used in the machine as well as the oil content.
