Manage tool load during machining

When cutting with a long slender bar, the visible bending of the bar may seem too much and it is easy to decrease cutting data, resulting in increased cycle time.

Knowing the actual load you will always ensure that you are within the acceptable load range of the tool, maintaining or even increasing material removal rates, productivity and decreasing cost.

Available in CoroPlus® viewer (CPV) feature package as well as in the CoroPlus® Connected (CPC) feature package.

Increase automation with machine tool integration

Silent Tools™ Plus provides automated load, vibration, deflection, and temperature protection in CoroPlus® Connected-equipped machines. The sensorised cutting solution rapidly trigger mitigating actions through the machine interface when problems and deviations are detected.

Data-driven and automatic decisions ensure quality and reduce waste such as scrap and the need for rework. Automation reduces operator dependency, freeing up operator time and running unmanned operations.

Shorten set up times

The center height setting functionality displays the level of the cutting edge. This way operators can quickly and easily set the center height of the insert to the right level. The result of this is better machining performance and longer insert tool life.

Improved decision-making

Knowing what is happening inside the component is a challenge when doing internal turning in slender components. By displaying when the tool is in cut or not on a dashboard, the operator can easily get a sense of the machining. Thus, time when the machine is running without the tool in cut can be reduced.

The Silent Tools™ Plus vibration sensors will pick up issues with your machining in an early stage, helping you taking actions in your daily work. 

Better utilization of equipment

The temperature of the damping system is displayed on the Silent Tools™ Plus dashboard, enabling operators to monitor that the system is not damaged due to heat.

Quick change interface

The new quick change interface between adaptor and cutting head is developed for easy handling and optimized machine utilization. It is designed to enable quick and accurate cutting head changes.

Silent Tools™ Plus offer

Dampened Silent Tools™ Plus adapter kit with embedded connectivity and required accessories. A two year warranty applies to all damped adaptors including the electronics.

Our Sensorized Tools software can be downloaded for free on our web site. You have two download options, online or offline files.

Our software licenses are available as perpetual models. The software updates are released regularly, so if you use the offline installer, you will need to download the newest installer from this site, otherwise, the updates will be delivered automatically when online.

Stand-alone

The software will run on any device using Windows 10 or newer. To get a good user experience, we recommend full HD [1920 x 1080] screen size, ≥8 GB internal memory, ≥i5 processor and Bluetooth ≥3.0.
