One shot roughing and finishing face milling aluminum cutter
M5C90 is a custom-made combination milling cutter that provides both roughing and finishing in the same tool without the need for adjustment. M5C90 is based on the M5B90 super finishing face milling cutter, but with an extra row of inserts tangentially positioned on the outer diameter. It smoothly and swiftly machines parts without burrs, scratches, or breakages, resulting in , high feed rates, and time and cost savings.
M5C90 uses the same standard, globally available inserts as the M5B90 face milling cutter, and M5C90 exhibits the same superior tool life. The positioning of the inserts follows the same concept as for M5B90 shown below.
The green color area shows the roughing row, and the blue area the finishing row.
Note: This concept is a face milling cutter, but there is a step form between the wall and the face.

Application
- Roughing and finishing face milling of cylinder heads, cylinder blocks, and all aluminum parts within wide cutter engagements (not applicable on thin wall parts)
- Able to machine up to 4 mm (0.157 inch) depth of cut with an occasional increase to 6 mm (0.236 inch), with direct finishing quality on parts
