Fusion 360 add-in
Sandvik Coromant and Autodesk cooperate to bring maximum efficiency and process security to the CAM community. Users of CoroPlus® Tool Library can get tool and cutting data recommendations, build tool assemblies and bring their work into Autodesk Fusion 360® in an integrated and intuitive workflow.
Installation
The add-in is included in the CoroPlus® Tool Library subscription and can be installed directly from the Autodesk App store.
Go to https://apps.autodesk.com/FUSION/en/Detail/Index?id=5686383698852266117&appLang=en&os=Win64& and follow the installation instructions.
General Settings
General settings for the CoroPlus® Tool Library add-in are available in the MANUFACTURE workspace.

- Switch to the MANUFACTURE workspace and select the UTILITIES tab.
- Click the COROPLUS® icon to change the general settings. The CoroPlus® widget will appear on the top-right corner of the canvas.

The CoroPlus® Tool Library settings allow you to:
- Turn ON or OFF the connection to CoroPlus® Tool Library.
- Login and Logout from your CoroPlus® Tool Library account.
- Map your Fusion 360 machines with machines created in CoroPlus® Tool Library.
Login

- Click Login in the General Settings tab in the CoroPlus® window.
- Fill in your CoroPlus® Tool Library credentials (E-mail and Password).
- To preserve login, click the checkbox Remember me in this device.
- Click Log in.
Logout

- Click Logout on the General Settings tab in the CoroPlus® window.
- Ones you receive the message that you have been logged out.
- Click OK.
Machines mapping
Every tool and cutting data recommendation from CoroPlus® Tool Library is influenced by your machine’s characteristics, such as spindle speed, power and torque limits. To simplify the workflow, you can map your Fusion 360 machines/post processors with machines created in CoroPlus® Tool Library.
Note:
When creating your Setup in Fusion 360 and selecting the machine, the corresponding mapped machine in CoroPlus® Tool Library will be pre-selected when using the CoroPlus® Tool Library add-in functionality.
Note:
A default machine will be pre-selected when the selected Fusion 360 machine isn’t mapped to a machine in CoroPlus® Tool Library.
- Click the Machines mapping icon in the CoroPlus® Tool Library window.
- Click Add new mapping.
- Select the Fusion 360 machine.
- Select the corresponding CoroPlus® Tool Library machine.
- Click Save.
Assign the workpiece material
When creating your setup in Fusion 360, you can select the workpiece material from CoroPlus® Tool Library. This workpiece material will then be pre-selected when you need new cutting data for an existing tool or want a recommendation on what tool to use.

- On the Manufacture toolbar, click Setup > New Setup (or right-click on existing setup and select Edit).
- Select the Stock tab.
- On the CoroPlus® section, click the Select workpiece material… button.
- The CoroPlus® Tool Library – Select Material dialogue will open.

In the CoroPlus® Select Material dialogue, you can select one of the default material groups. Or select a specific material from an extensive database with +20,000 materials by:
- Searching on trade names, like Orvar Supreme, or standard names like Z40CDV5.
- Filter on specific Standards or Classifications.
Tooling Features

On the Tool tab of the machining dialogue, you can
- Select an existing assembly from CoroPlus® Tool Library. CoroPlus® Tool Library will sent its parameters and cutting data to Fusion 360™.
- Get a tool recommendation
Through the intuitive task selection dialogue, CoroPlus® Tool Library will provide you with tooling recommendations. From these recommendations, you can easily build a complete tool assembly that will be transferred to Fusion 360. - Get cutting data for an already selected tool. Through the task dialogue, you will get cutting data transferred and saved as cutting data presets in Fusion 360.
Select assembly
- Click Select Assembly and browse through your list of already created tool assemblies in CoroPlus® Tool Library.
- Click Send to Fusion 360.CoroPlus® Tool Library will send the selected assembly with all geometrical and cutting data parameters.
Get Tool Recommendation
- Click Get Tool Recommendation and specify the task (machine operation) you want to perform. CoroPlus® Tool Library will provide you with a list of suitable tools for that operation.
- Select you preferred tool and add additional components to create a complete tool assembly.
- Save the tool
- Click Send to Fusion 360.
Get Cutting Data
- Click Get Cutting Data and specify the task (machine operation) you want to perform. CoroPlus® Tool Library will provide you with optimized cutting data for that operation.
- Give the cutting data preset a name.
- Click Apply.
